Research Direction

Research on Tumorigenesis Mechanisms and Exploration of Therapeutic Strategies

Personal profile

Prof. Du has been focusing on the research regarding the role and mechanism of nucleolar components in tumorigenesis and progression. The research areas mainly include: the role and mechanism of nucleolar proteins in tumorigenesis, progression, and chemoresistance; the regulatory role of nucleolar proteins, small nucleolar RNAs (snoRNAs), and precursors of ribosomal RNAs (pre-rRNAs) in mitosis. She has presided over 13 projects, including General Program of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and National High-Tech Research and Development Program of China (863 Program). As corresponding author, she has published more than 20 SCI-indexed papers in authoritative journals such as Nucleic Acids Research, Cell Death & Differentiation, EMBO Reports, and Cell Death & Disease. She has also applied for 2 patents.
